Set during World War II “The Russian” a five-episode miniseries, follows the story of an Argentine tango singer who becomes the key figure in a daring intelligence operation that could change the course of history. Directed and written by Sebastián Borensztein, it is based on his own novel published in 2020.

The production, by Kenya Films and K&S Films, took place in Buenos Aires and on location in Europe. The series stands out as one of Netflix’s most important “Made in Argentina” projects for the coming years.
